Generating QR Code in Mail Merge (Microsoft Words, Excel)

 

1. Using Microsoft Excel, create one spreadsheet with the information for the QR you want to create.
2. Using Microsoft Word, design the template before mail merge.

In order for this to work:

  • Enter spaces only when instructed
  • Do not copy and paste, better to type out all the text.
  • <SPACE> = Spacebar
3. Start Mail Merge, use the Excel spreadsheet as data source.
4. At the word template, press Ctrl + F9. You will see {} generated.

5. Type in DISPLAYBARCODE<SPACE>""<SPACE>QR inside the {} generated.
6.  Inside the double quote, inside the merge field from the excel column.
7. After complete the coding, press ALT + F9 once or twice until you see the barcode.
8. Generated QR
